I’m Akasha. That’s not a made-up internet name, I swear. My parents found my name in a book called “Queen of the Damned” by Anne Rice. In that book, Akasha was Queen of the Vampires, so if you like stuff like that check out Rice’s work… starting with “Interview with the Vampire”, it’s her best book and could be considered “inspiration” for Twilight.
When I was six, my mom found out there are a few alternate meanings to my name:

- a supposed universal etheric field in which a record of past events is imprinted.

Obviously, both these meanings are a bit nicer than “Queen of the Vampires”, but to each their own – I’ll let you pick your favourite.
Interests
Reading
I have a small library in my condo, primarily science fiction and fantasy, but I also enjoy thrillers, autobiography and traditional fiction.
Music
I grew up around music and you’d be hard-pressed to find something I didn’t like, with the exception of some death metal.
Movies
I absolutely love movies, my favourite is The Princess Bride.
Sports
Sports is a huge part of my life because I work in the industry. That said, I’m going to try to stay away from talking about work in this space, but expect it to seep in now and again.
Travel
I haven’t been anywhere fancy just yet, but I’m hoping to explore Europe really soon. So far, I’ve checked off a ton of cities in the USA and explored the rainforest in Ecuador.
Food
Seriously though, who doesn’t love eating?
